MERKINE ORGAN

AUCTION RULES

After the auction, the buyer of the artwork must approach the auction administration table immediately. If the buyer participated in the auction by phone or online, they must pay for the artwork by bank transfer within 5 working days. Payment for the purchased artwork can be made in cash or by bank transfer at the auction site, but it must be done no later than 5 working days after the auction.

Billing

During the auction, the auctioneer will briefly introduce each artwork and announce the starting price. The bidding process is divided into four groups based on the price range of the artwork.

For group A (0-99 eur), the increase interval is every 5 eur.

For group B (100-199 eur), the increase interval is every 10 eur.

For group C (200-499 eur), the increase interval is every 20 eur.

For group D (500-2999 eur), the increase interval is every 50 eur.

Bidders can bid their desired amount without waiting for bid increments. However, they must clearly raise their bid number facing the host and announce their bid out loud. The auctioneer will repeat each bid. When none of the buyers offers a higher price, the auctioneer will announce the highest last price offered, repeat the number and price of the participant who offered it three times, and fix it with a blow of the hammer. At the hammer, the work of art is considered sold to the highest bidder, who unconditionally agrees to pay the bid price.

Delivery and collection of works

When purchasing works, the buyer can choose between two methods of delivery: picking up the item in person at Merkinė or having the item delivered to their home. If the buyer chooses delivery, the works will be shipped using Lithuanian Post EXPRESS courier services, but only within Lithuania and to addresses located in Lithuania. The cost of shipping depends on the size of the purchased piece and must be paid by the buyer. When the shipment arrives, the Buyer must inspect the condition of the package. If the Buyer signs the delivery acceptance document, it is considered that the shipment has been delivered in good condition. However, in the event that the package appears damaged (crumpled, torn, wet, or otherwise externally damaged), the buyer must indicate this in the shipment transfer-acceptance document and, in the presence of the person delivering the shipment, write a free-form shipment violation act.

Storage of works

Purchased works are stored only for 14 days from the auction date.
